New Work: Test Beakers

I’ve recently been making test pieces, working-up larger batches of four different clay bodies that I’d previously narrowed-down through triaxial blend tests towards the end of last year. I’ve made 30+ wheel-thrown beakers decorated with either a hakame or dipping/pouring slip. I aim to glaze them with either an opaque or clear glaze and fire half the work in a gas kiln and the other in electric, both in the region of Cone 6.
