Do you already make with clay or want to start learning?
I deliver tailored and engaging ceramic and pottery courses and classes on a
one-to-one basis, and to small groups of no more than 4 students per course.
Whether you want to learn more about hand-building like slab work, coiled and pinch pots, throw on the wheel, or have some relaxing time during the day, after work, or at weekend, I deliver friendly and enjoyable sessions. Different clays and glaze making can also be explored and most materials are included in the price. Pay online to reserve your place, or by cash/cheque at your first session.

This great value course offers
an engaging introduction, giving you the chance to play with clay and discover
if it's for you by exploring different creative techniques, developing
new skills, and completing and firing one piece of work. You can try making pinch pots,
coiling, and even throwing. The class size will be no more than 4 students so there's plenty
of support.

A rolling structured course, providing opportunities to learn specific
skills like hand-building and/or throwing, decoration and glazing,
or ways to explore the creative potential of your ideas and/or gathered
materials/objects. The class size will be no more than 4 students so there's plenty
of support.

You know what you like to make, need a little more time to make it
and a little less support which is still available for those tricky
spots and technical questions.

Expert one-to-one tuition focused on helping you develop specific skills
or ideas. For example, you might want to learn throwing on the potter's wheel, or how to make
moulds and cast from them, or need advice for making and formulating glazes. You might have little
experience of clay and want to start at the beginning, or you may want to build on previous clay skills.
Equally, you might have experience of ideas generated from other artistic interests or hobbies and want assistance
to translate these ideas to clay.
You're working with dedicated support and can choose when you wish to come in,
it is usually possible to choose between the 7 days of the week, both daytime and/or evening.
If you purchase a block of ten hours of tuition you will also get an additional
2 hours free.
