This series was developed during my MA at Cardiff Metropolitan University (2007-08). It explores the materiality of landscapes and their seasons, looking at how the process of throwing can be explored like the processes of geology. The expression of the materiality of landscapes was facilitated, in some cases, by the use of found materials in the development of glazes. This work encourages the viewer to explore and imagine the objects as landscapes in their own right: to move around and physically explore them.
